"They cleaned the ducts, ac units, washed the vent covers, and sprayed a sanitizer in the ducts.
When Curtis and his assistant arrived, they introduced themselves and began setting up. Before they began work on our 2 heat pump systems, I told Curtis that in addition to all the duct cleaning, I had a bonus challenge... keep an eye out for the wedding band that my daughter accidentally dropped in the kitchen 8 YEARS ago. Not a fancy ring, but great sentimental value. About an hour later, Curtis found me and said that he had found my ring!! I was sooo happy! They did a great job. They cleaned the ducts, ac units, washed the vent covers, and sprayed a sanitizer in the ducts. The house smells fresh and I have my ring back! Thanks, guys!"

"We had our vents, ducts and unit cleaned and sanitized. Curtis came and reviewed the job and got to work. He was very detailed and kept his work space neat and clean. He used care to not let our pets out of the house. He had to crawl under the house for some of the work. He showed us a before and after with the camera and WOW!!! What a huge difference. It took a few hours to have the work completed. Curtis was very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things that need some work and let us know what we were doing right with the air filters. Wonderful experience.ork was great. Curtis took care of the cleaning and did not leave a mess. He was professional and took care in the work being completed."

"Curtis was very professional and explained the entire process. He even provided a recommendation to further improve our HVAC efficiency by upgrading our broken attic fan to a thermally regulated attic fan. Curtis spent 7 hours at our home performing the service, and when he left, you could tell a difference as the house smelled very clean. Curtis also ensured that all work areas were cleaned as well."

"I have 3 dogs, allergies, contact lenses, and I'm a germaphobe! I called the company and spoke with Bobby. I asked why he was more expensive than some of his competition. He gave me a quick explanation of the heavy duty equipment he used. I set an appointment for 2 days later. He wasn't joking about the equipment. The machine blew a huge cloud of dust out of my house, VERY EXCITING! (and gross) The guys were professional and cleaned up when they were finished. I am very satisfied and will call this company again."

"Clean all my air ducts in my one story home....Mark laid down drop cloths to protect my new hardwood floors before bringing in this huge hose he said that he had to hook it to the furnace
I called Dust Mite Magic from Kudzu and the gentleman on the phone was very nice and knowledgeable about duct cleaning. The price was fair and Mark did a great job..."

  • The Right Way to Clean Your Air Ducts

You have determined it is time to clean your air-ducts. So now what? Company A is running a special and offering it for so much less than Company B, I’ll go with them. WAIT a minute….slam on those brakes! Don’t forget the old adage, “You get what you pay for.” So what do you look for in someone who is going to clean you air-ducts? Where there are a multitude of items to watch for three major ones are the inspection process, the type of brushes being used, and the type of exhaust for the machines.

During an inspection process, the provider should open all ports and doors and inspect the system. Particularly what they are checking for is asbestos. Asbestos requires special care and special cleaning so as not to be disturbed and create problems within the home. Generally the inspector will inform you of the asbestos so you have the options of taking the proper steps and hiring specially trained contractors or equipment specialists. During this process the provider will also point out any areas that are damaged or of concern.

Duct work needs not only to be vacuumed, but it needs to be brushed to get small particles that have attached to surfaces off that surface. Within your HVAC system are fiberglass duct boards and sheet metal lined with fiberglass so special care needs to be taken not to tear, scratch, or remove the fiberglass from underlying materials. Not only would this decrease the efficiency of your system, but it would allow new areas for particles such as dust mites, bacteria, and pollen to gather and grow.

Providers also need to use either high efficiency particle air (HEPA) equipment or they need to exhaust the machine outside of the home. HEPA equipment is specially designed to collect incredibly small particles within the air by utilizing interception, impaction and diffusion methods. Not to mention, using an exterior exhaust will allow for the particles to be removed from your home completely. Beware this is one area that the generic brand cannot be used. Just think you about spending money to have the dust and debris moved from the air duct into your home to only go back into the air-ducts.

At Dust-Mite Magic, we go a step above. We have introduced the latest technology of “source removal.” After we have thoroughly trained all of our technicians, we send them to your home with our advanced system. This system not only pulls all of the debris from your ductwork through sealed lines and deposits them into a tank on our truck making sure particles are trapped and removed from the interior and exterior of your premise, but it uses air brushes, air whips, and air skipper balls to dislodge debris from the ducts without damaging them or the fiberglass. Now you know why we guarantee, “The most thorough cleaning or it’s FREE!”
